Sarah Cummings Truszkowski
In my work, I explore the maternal relationships in my life, alongside identity, individuality, and love, through vibrant floral art. As a mother living on the prairies, gardening is something that runs deeply through the roots, histories, and relationships of my life, and is a central focus of what I create.
I am an artist living in Regina, Saskatchewan and have degrees in studio art (B.F.A. Queen’s) and education (B.Ed. Ottawa and M.Ed. Regina). Prior to moving to the Prairies in 2007, I taught visual art at Centennial Academy in Montreal where I was represented by Galerie d’Art St. Ambroise. I am presently working with Professor and Artist Marsha Kennedy in the CARFAC Saskatchewan mentorship program for 2015-16.
