This exhibit displays a varied collection of work from artist-educators of the Indian Fine-Arts from the First Nations University of Canada and the Faculty of Fine-Arts at the University of Regina. This institutional collaboration displays a unique combination of art practices, mediums, and beliefs which opens the viewership to different and varying points of view. The ability of these art works to relay a common path of critical excellence and development of one’s own art practice, while simultaneously helping to shape the path of young artists, is inspiring. Art work that engages the mind, the soul and the spirit is invaluable as learning tools for reflection, instruction, and mentorship. These individuals carry the important role of enhancing the quality of life, preserving, protecting and interpreting history, culture and heritage.
The First Nations University art gallery is located in the First Nations University of Canada Regina Campus, and is accessible by the east doors.
